Clinical philosophy and scope
Anya combines therapeutic insight, psychopharmacology, and nervous system regulation within an integrative model of care. Patients are engaged as partners in their care, with support that adjusts as life shifts.
We can provide the following services:
Comprehensive psychiatric assessments and diagnostic formulation.
Ongoing psychotherapy.
Medication prescribing and management (when appropriate).
Optimising day-to-day lifestyle and routine.
Liaising with other providers to coordinate care.
In addition to clinical care, Dr Snyder offers structured, evidence-informed consulting for people navigating transition, burnout, identity shifts or values misalignment. This work is collaborative and rooted in clinical insight to create clarity and momentum during times of change.
What is a Nurse Practitioner?
Nurse Practitioners (NPs) are advanced practice nurses with specialty training in diagnosis, prescribing and treatment planning.
Mental Health or Psychiatric NPs provide psychiatric assessments, psychotherapy, and medication management within one provider, working autonomously while collaborating with other health practitioners when needed to deliver high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centred care.
This model reduces the need for fragmented or multi-provider care, while maintaining clinical rigour and professional accountability.
Dr Snyder trained in the US and was a board-certified Family Psychiatric Mental Health NP. She now works in Australia and is an AHPRA endorsed NP with a specialty in Mental Health.
